About Marcia

Marcia T. Patterson, a native of Norfolk, Virginia holds a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications with a concentration in journalism from Norfolk State University. She is a proud wife of 24 years to Pastor Gyasi A. Patterson and the mother of five blessings; three beautiful girls and two vibrant and handsome boys. Gyasi and Marcia are the founders of ONEchurchRDU, a ministry built on Outreach, Networking, and Empowerment. The two live just outside of Raleigh, North Carolina, and are currently serving at Bazzel Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Vuquay-Varina, North Carolina.

Since answering the call to ministry many years ago, Marcia has been a faithful servant of the Lord, using her several gifts to help and encourage others with joy. She officially preached her initial sermon and became a licensed minister of the gospel on March 26, 2023.

Marcia has always loved singing and possessed a natural musical gift as a child. In 2008, she began her music education journey, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a concentration in Voice from North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina. She first picked up the guitar out of curiosity in 2014 and instantly felt a connection. As she grows with her instrument, Marcia plans to use her love of the written word and music in tandem, continuing to work on her gift in expectation of one day producing a musical project.

As a teacher of Worship, Marcia is the author of an ebook entitled Let Worship F.L.O.W. From The Heart, available on Amazon.com as a Kindle download. Marcia spends her days as an entrepreneur and CEO of Simple Business Solutions, LLC., a small administrative support company offering services as an Executive Virtual Assistant to other small business owners. She is also a student at Methodist Theological Seminary in Ohio, pursuing a Master of Divinity. Marcia loves plants and enjoys music and crafting in her leisure time, occasionally designing items for sale.
